Port awarded $623,000.00 in US DOT Maritime Administration (MARAD) grant

Piti, Guam, February 12, 2020:  The Port Authority of Guam has been awarded $623,000.00 from the US DOT Maritime Administration (MARAD). 
 
  • The funds will be used for the following initiatives:
  • Upgrade of the Port’s CCTV Security Surveillance System
  • Upgrade of the Port’s Access Control System
  • Repainting of North CMU Wall and Various Buildings


 

On Saturday January 25, 2020, Port Authority of Guam, Goodwill, and Morale Association partner with Matson’s “Adahi I Tano” project.

Port Signs Contract for Golf Pier



“A signing ceremony was held at the Port Authority of Guam on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 for the first capital improvement project funded by the 2018 Port Revenue Bond proceeds.
The contract was awarded to N.C. Macario& Associates. The company will provide architectural and engineering designs needed to repair and upgrade Golf Pier, which serves as one of the entry points for all fuel arriving on Guam”.

Port Week Flag Raising Ceremony Monday, October 21, 2019 and Employee Awards Celebration Thursday, October 24, 2019

In commemoration of its 44th Anniversary, the Port Authority of Guam celebrated with a festive gathering amongst family, friends, tenants and port users. Providing 44 years of service to Guam and the Region has been quite an adventure in not only the many milestones achieved in the port modernization, but more importantly, the collective journey in the collaboration with our local and federal partners, stakeholders, and the many who have in one form or another contributed to the success of the Port, thus far. We congratulate each and every one of you!

Port host Welcoming All Visitors Enthusiastically [WAVE] Club on Saturday, October 19, 2019



In conjunction with the 44th year Port Week Celebration, the Port was proud to host 50 middle school students from the Welcoming All Visitors Enthusiastically (WAVE) Club on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The Port planning staff conducted a presentation on the importance of the Port, accomplishments, and upcoming projects. In addition to the presentation the kids were able to take a tour of Port facilities in and out of the container yard as well as at Hotel Wharf.
